Public rights to view EPC accounts

Notices pertaining to the exercise of public rights to view Ellisfield Parish Council accounts for y/e 31 March 2017 between 9am and 5pm on working days  from 26th June 2017 to 4th August 2017 are now on Lower Common  parish council notice board.

Vacancy for Parish Clerk / Financial Officer

We are looking for a new Parish Clerk; duties include preparing agendas and taking minutes at usually 6 meetings a year, plus Annual Parish Meeting, handling correspondence, maintaining financial records and preparing them for audit. The successful candidate will need to be competent in using email and both Microsoft Word and Excel.

The work which is largely home-based is approximately 6 hours per week remunerated in line with National Salary scales. (£3,340 p.a. + allowances)

Ellisfield Parish Clerk

Very sad news, Mick Walker our Clerk, sadly died on the 6th January 2017.

Mick had only been our Clerk for seven months but in that time had become an invaluable resource to your council and he is sorely missed.

Anybody who wishes to contact the council in the meantime should either call Tim Guinness, Chairman of the Parish Council who has taken on the role of interim clerk until a new successor can be found, or send an email to the clerk or alternatively contact Jacqui Matthews who was Ellisfield’s Parish Clerk from 2004 to 2015 and has kindly agreed to assist the Parish Council on an interim basis (01256 381149)

Vacancy for Parish Clerk / Financial Officer

The Parish Council is deeply saddened by the sudden death of their Parish Clerk, Mick Walker, on Friday 6th January 2017, after a short illness. Mick and his wife Linda moved to The Acorns, Axford Road, Ellisfield in 2016. Together they transformed the house and then on 1st June, Mick took over from Wendy Simson as Parish Clerk, applying himself enthusiastically to bring the administration into shipshape order. Mick’s funeral will be at 1:15pm on Thursday 9th February at Basingstoke Crematorium.

Accounts year ended 31March 2015 – Electors Rights

(Updated) This notice is to inform all residents within Ellisfield Parish that in accordance with the Audit Commission Act 1998, Sections 15 and 16 Accounts and Audit (England) Regulations 2011 (S1 2011/817), these Council accounts have been internally (external) audited and any person interested in inspecting the bank account and making copies of the annual return may now do so.

These documents for Ellisfield Parish Council are available at reasonable notice by application.

Local Electors and their representatives have rights to question the auditor about the accounts and object to the accounts or any item in them.

Written notice of an objection must first be given to the auditor and a copy sent to the council/meeting.

The auditor can be contacted at the address below for this purpose from the 28 July 2015 until the annual review has been completed.

Please note that the council/meetings annual return is subject to review by the appointed auditor under the provisions of the Audit Commission Act 1998 as above.
