6 Cannon Close

All Ellisfield Residents

Re: 6 Cannon Close, Ellisfield
Very sadly the mother of Lindsey Trotter (who lives in Ellisfield) died recently. Sovereign Housing Association will be taking back the above property from 03 September and will be seeking new tenant(s).

The Lettings Officer has said that anyone on the Borough Council’s ‘list’ in need of an adapted bungalow and with a local connection to the Parish would have a good chance of being considered, subject to the usual financial criteria.  She also advised that anyone who would be interested and eligible should apply online to B&DBC as soon as possible so that, when the property is formally available, they are already on the ‘list’. They should specify their need to be in Ellisfield and in an adapted bungalow.

The bungalow according to Lindsey is perfect for an elderly person or couple, with one double and one single bedroom, a lounge, kitchen, and wet-room bathroom. It also has level access into the back door, and a manageable garden with a huge variety of roses. Currently the monthly rent is £557.

Having had a battle to secure the bungalow for Lindsey’s parents, it would be a shame if someone in the village was looking for such accommodation for themselves or their relatives but were not aware of its imminent availability. PLEASE pass this on if you can think of anyone to whom it might be of interest.

SHARE MEMBERSHIP SCHEME                                                                                                               Offer extended until 31 July

The Candover Valley Community Store Committee are delighted with the progress made so far towards the fundraising target.

We do still need more peopleto participate in the share membership scheme and encourage all residents in the valley and everyone who would benefit from the shop, to buy shares.  By doing this, you can help make the vision of a new community shop, post office and coffee area a reality.

We know many people are supportive and may not have made an application yet so PLEASE do this as soon as possible.  To allow as many people as possible to apply for shares the share membership scheme has been extended until JULY 31st.

The more funds we raise locally the greater the chance

We have of securing grants which is a key part of the fundraising approach
